Introducing the M7 Speed MONSTER Strut Tower Brace kit for the R60/R61 Countryman and Paceman. The design is based on our very successful R56 "J-Brace" but taken to the next level. If you want to add handling performance, driving excitement and serious off-road strength to the heavier Countryman platform this is the kit you need.
The strut tower plates are made from 12 mm thick aircraft grade billet aluminum and precision CNC contour machined to fit exactly on top of the factory Mini Cooper towers. This design incorporates M7's exclusive and proven Strut Reinforcement Plate (SRP) technology dramatically strengthening the marginal factory sheet metal towers.
The support bar is bigger and stronger than anything available on the market. Also made from aircraft grade 6061 billet aluminum; it measures 2"(50mm) wide and 9/16"(15mm) thick.....an absolute MONSTER! A full 25% larger than the R56 Brace!
Following a longstanding tradition of all M7 products, our new strut tower brace kit is beautifully styled and finished in a 100% matte black hard anodize coating to protect it from corrosion and provide long lasting great looks. So Let me say if your going to install an air intake system change do that first. I have made many changes to my engine over the past year so I am always removing this to do the work. My point is some things work good when new but if you re-install them they loosen up. This kit DOES NOT do that, every time I reinstall this back on it is as strong and tight as the first time.. So let me say this is a very strong bar system, Solid, and cool looking when you pen the hood, Its not a thick tube thing it is a designed strong 3X1 solid beam of strength... I was skeptical of how much difference a strut bar could make, but after purchasing one for a roadster, I knew it was a must for the chunky paceman. The turn in and follow through have been incredible! I have a sway bar set at its stiffest and I can almost feel the rear wanting to swing out. I installed the Monster Strut tower brace kit and it is amazing!Value
Super easy to install. The workmanship of this kit is awesome. It mad all of the torque steer go away and felt way more solid.
This kit is a must for all R60's!
