This "Competition" intercooler is ideal for high horsepower and serious racetrack/motorsport applications. It features ~220% larger frontal area and ~280% greater volume than the factory OEM charge air intercooler. Weighing in at only 11 lbs (5 Kg) this is a must have for any serious track competitor or street hunter.

Intercoolers are used to reduce the heat from the compressed air as it transfers from the turbocharger into the engine's induction system. By passing the compressed and heated induction charge through an air-to-air heat exchanger (intercooler) reduces the charge temperature. Lower temperatures creates a higher density of air/fuel molecules, which allows more air/fuel mixture into the same amount of space. More air and more fuel means one thing....MORE HORSEPOWER and torque.
