Past problems with oil seals have been eliminated on this new version. This is the perfect upgrade for first-generation MINI enthusiasts looking to put their car's performance completely over the top at a great price.

The Sprintex Supercharger Upgrade is a complete bolt-on replacement. The kit seamlessly takes the place of the factory supercharger ensuring there are no additional modifications necessary for the chassis or engine of the vehicle. Once installed, the system is unnoticeable to the untrained eye. The Sprintex logo on the included superchager outlet horn is the only sure giveaway. The supercharger outlet horn is shaped to use the stock intercooler, so the M7 DFIC2 will fit and function with no issues. The supercharger upgrade kit features a Sprintex S5-210 screw type compressor to replace the factory Eaton M45 Roots type compressor unit. According to Eaton, the M45 is a much older style compressor that is being replaced by their Twin Vortices Series (TVS) compressors. The TVS compressors are said to be much more efficient than the older M series Eaton compressors including the factory unit found in the R52/R53.

Seeing the TVS as comparable competition to the Sprintex S5-210 featured in the upgrade kit, a test was conducted to see the differences in isentropic efficiency for both the Eaton TVS and Sprintex S5-210 units. Isentropic efficiency compares the volume of air versus the heat produced by a system. A high isentropic efficiency indicates lower outlet air and thus denser charge air going to the engine.

So what does that mean for your MINI?

Based on a dyno test conducted by Mynes Tuning, the Sprintex Supercharger Upgrade kit with a 70mm pulley was able to achieve increases of 41.52 horsepower and 26.85 pounds of torque on a completely unmodified R53 MINI Cooper S. With a 70mm pulley, the Sprintex upgrade was running at about 15 psi of boost. Smaller diameter pulleys, of course, will increase the boost of the system. Greater increases in both horsepower and torque can be achieved with other performance modifications and engine tuning in addition to the Sprintex Supercharger Upgrade.

The Sprintex Supercharger Upgrade kit is manufactured under ISO15001 quality standards. It comes complete with everything necessary to directly replace your factory supercharger with no additional modifications to your car or the kit. The compressor itself has its own internal oil supply therefore no additional external oil lines have to be added to the system.

Sprintex system parts are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles (excluding consequential damage).

You must load the CARB Calibration File into the Mini’s ECU using the Bytetronik FA-LITE Tuning module in order for this Sprintex upgrade to be CARB Compliant and street legal. The Bytetronik IS NOT included with the base Sprintex Kit but is available as and additional option ($200.00).
